The School hosted a “Special Ladies Tea”. The staff and children worked on preparing the room with treats and gifts to the children’s most special ladies. It is always wonderful to see the smiles on everyone’s faces during special celebrations!

Kindergarten Readiness Parent Workshop

Kindergarten Readiness Parent Workshop is a service provided free of charge for enrolled parents in our Pre-K program. The goal of our workshop is to assist parents with the transition from preschool to elementary school education. We covered hands on learning for academics, health and nutritional needs of children, how to ease the transition for the whole family and how to create fun and memorable school traditions. Parents had the opportunity to play and explore ways to engage their children academically and left the workshop with a handy tool kit prepared specifically for their children.

Week of the Young Child was fun

Last week we celebrated the Week of the Young Child, an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the world’s largest early childhood education association. The purpose of the Week of the Young Child is to focus public attention on the needs of young children, their families and to recognize the early childhood programs providing services to them. Crazy hair days, pajama days, art exploration days, it was a busy and fun week.

Baby Chics born this week

Every year the children watch the incubation process from eggs to baby chics. As of Friday we had 7 chics born and the children cannot be more excited. Over the next few weeks the babies will be visitiing each classroom, please stop by and say hi.

Tuesday: Silly Dress Day (mismatch colors, clothes and socks, backwards clothes, etc. Get creative!)

Wednesday: Pajama Day & Art & Sensory Workshop (Messy Exploration!)

Thursday: Pajama Day & Art & Sensory Workshop (Messy Exploration!)

Friday: School Spirit Day (School-T-Shirt or The Color Green)
